Paranoia

I don't know you, you don't know me. Look at my stuff. All photographs are mine unless otherwise stated.
i stepped outside and the sidewalk was wet for
the treading of tires made it no better,
all four-legged creatures went bizerk
as the masses shuffled about anticipating hurt.
hooded strangers pushed passed me,
polyester shields bloomed and blossomed
as the sky relieved itself.
straightened hair, no longer straight,
fog filled my eyes, i removed my frames
and licked my lips, i was thirsty.
the click, click, click of heals and change of pace
made me realize
that it was just rain.
so there i stood.
